Pottery has been a constant throughout the years and when I retired, I was able to spend more time experimenting with the medium. One of my early pieces received the David Lambert Award from Malaspina College, Nanaimo, BC in 1981 as a result of a course taken at the college.

I have taught children, teen, and adult classes in both Alberta and British Columbia. My work consists primarily of functional ware, from casseroles to teapots to sushi sets.

In 2005 the Tozan Cultural Society was asked to move from Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, B.C. As President, I took on the responsibility of finding a new location. I coordinated the dismantling of the kilns and organized the rebuilding of the Noborigama kiln at Tamagawa in nearby Cedar.

Kiln building began in April 2008 and was completed in May 2009. Our Grand opening was on July 11, 2009.
