My artistic journey, leading to pottery, started in Germany in gold and silversmithing.
After coming to Canada, I was offered a teaching position at George Brown College in Toronto, at their Jewellery Arts Program. Wanting to do more of my own work, I left the teaching position, and opened my own studio, working with private clients.
Years later, I was introduced to clay, and fell in love “playing with mud”. After finding this new passion, I trained with a German ceramic artist. My work is all hand-built and sculpted, and it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to see my inner vision become visible.
As a member of the Nanaimo Pottery Coop I have attended shows in Nanaimo. My work is also shown at the Art Gallery of Nanaimo, and I participated in shows at the Rocky Mountaineer station in Vancouver.
