What began as a hobby 30 years ago evolved into “serious” art. I was fortunate to have the guidance of many well known European artists, creating and expertly glazing sculptures, statues and other decorative pieces.

Working hands on with clay is my preferred way of creative expressions. I don’t use wheels - each piece is uniquely crafted, beautifully glazed, and high-fired in my kiln.

I enjoy passing on my knowledge and hold classes in my North Nanaimo studio. Helping others discover this fun and rewarding hobby is great. From simple to complex projects, I guide my students from start to finish. We work in small classes in my home and, weather permitting, we move out onto the patio and let the ocean view inspire us.
